Nestled in View Royal, British Columbia, a character home underwent a transformative renovation, preserving its charm while embracing modern comforts.

The project never swayed from focusing on honouring the home’s heritage, restoring original woodwork and intricate details. Outside, the exterior received a facelift with authentic materials and a fresh coat of paint, enhancing its curb appeal.

Inside, a harmonious blend of old and new was achieved. Maple hardwood floors were installed, electrical, and plumbing was updated and moved around to ensure the couples dream layout. Everything on the main floor (living room, dining, kitchen, bathroom) were stripped back to the studs to allow for an entire facelift with contemporary additions such as surround sound and in-floor heating. The kitchen saw a dramatic upgrade with custom-built solutions and luxurious finishes.

As the renovation concluded, the character home emerged revitalized, poised to continue its legacy in View Royal’s landscape, a testament to the enduring allure of heritage properties in Victoria.
